Your PC VR library on Apple Vision Pro

KRVR streams PCVR with Foveated Streaming, DFR & DFE.

Foveated streaming
OpenXR + SteamVR
Both paths, one app

How it works

Native OpenXR games run through KRVR's own OpenXR runtime on the PC, with no SteamVR in the chain. Everything else runs through SteamVR with the KRVR driver. The headset side is the same either way.

STEP 1

Install the server

Run the free KRVR installer on your Windows PC. It registers the OpenXR runtime, the SteamVR driver and the firewall rules for you.

STEP 2

Press Connect

Start the server on the PC, open KRVR on Vision Pro and tap Connect. The headset finds your PC on the local network by itself.

STEP 3

Launch your game

Start any VR game on the PC. It appears in the headset at full resolution where you are looking, with sound, microphone and controllers along for the ride.

Features

👁

Eye-tracked foveated streaming

The full-detail region follows your gaze, so the bandwidth goes where you are looking and the picture stays sharp where it matters. Built on Apple's Foveated Streaming framework; gaze data stays on your own network.

⚡

Steady frame delivery

Frame pacing keeps delivery locked to the display. Motion Smoothing gives a game that cannot keep up an even, steady rate instead of a ragged one, and lets a game that can keep up run free.

📷

Mixed reality windows

Cut a passthrough window into the game to see your wheel, rig, keyboard or controllers. A short wizard places it, and it stays anchored in the room between sessions.

🎛

Live tuning

Bitrate, fovea size, periphery compression and sharpening change while you play, with the resulting stream size shown as you adjust. No restarts.

👋

Hand and eye tracking

Vision Pro tracks your hands and your eyes, and KRVR passes both to games that support them, as standard OpenXR and SteamVR input.

🔊

Audio and microphone

Game audio to the headset or to your PC speakers, your choice. For your headset mic in games, install the free VB-CABLE on the PC. How to set it up.

🕹

Controller support

Use supported VR controllers with your PC games, with full tracking, input and haptics through the KRVR driver.

🖥

Desktop mirror

See your PC screen inside the headset when you need it, for launchers, settings and the odd dialog box, without taking the headset off.

⚙

A pill you control

Quick settings live in a small pill you can move, hide or customise. Adjustable FOV crop, immersion level and masks are a tap away.

Requirements

Windows PC

  • Windows 11
  • NVIDIA GPU (NVENC is used for encoding)
  • Latest NVIDIA drivers
  • Wired ethernet to your router
  • SteamVR installed for SteamVR games

Apple Vision Pro

  • KRVR from the App Store
  • Same local network as the PC
  • 5 GHz Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6 recommended

Good to have

  • A dedicated Wi-Fi 6 access point near where you play
  • A virtual audio cable for microphone to PC
  • Supported VR controllers for games that need them

Quick fixes

  • Headset cannot find the PC — Both must be on the same network. Check the PC app is started, pick the right network adapter in its IP list, and allow KRVR through Windows Firewall.
  • Game opens on the monitor — Connect before launching. For OpenXR games set the display mode to OpenXR in the game's settings. SteamVR games open SteamVR, which now shows KRVR as the headset.
  • Installer says files are still the old version — SteamVR or a game was holding them. Close them, run the installer again.
